Along with the Gods is an adaptation of the webtoon under the same title, and the production is considered as one of the successful cases of one-source multi-uses. The premiere was praised for the characters who seemed to have stepped out from the original webtoon and also for the stage design including the LED screen floor, which transported the audience to the netherworld. The story begins with Kim Ja-hong, an average man who has died. In the netherworld, he meets his lawyer, Jin Gi-han, who guides him through the seven circles of hell during 49 days. Meanwhile, Gang Lim, the messenger of the netherworld must find a dead soul who escaped back to life to avenge his own death. The story of death and justice asks the audience to contemplate on the meaning of life through the journey of the characters to the other world.
