It’s a dream more exciting than a thousand words.
It’s an ordinary yet special world that lies farther than the sky.
Could you explain what longing is?
Set in Korea in the year 2035, A Thousand Blues tells a deeply moving story of friendship that transcends all boundaries, against the backdrop of a society where robots have begun to replace human labor. It follows Today, a racehorse on the verge of euthanasia; Collie, a humanoid jockey with a shattered lower body awaiting disposal; and Bo-gyeong, who runs a small diner near the racetrack, along with her daughters Yeon-jae and Eun-hye. Bringing the warmth of the original novel to life, the musical features vivid racetrack scenes, a humanoid endowed with extraordinary intelligence and emotions, the everyday presence of robots in a near-future society, and the resilient lives of a mother and her two daughters. A Thousand Blues greatest hopes in the smallest chances.
